Monica D. Higgins understood from a young age exactly what’s at stake when remodeling or renovating your home.
Growing up, Monica helped her parents manage and renovate distressed income properties. She saw first-hand the transformative positive impact that facility updates and upgrades had on the lives of residents. And, she also witnessed the painful consequences when an unscrupulous contractor ripped her mother off on a major project. Monica knows all too well that changing your house is a deeply personal and stressful experience.
It’s moments like these – the warm afterglow of a successful project and the cold, numbing reality when something goes wrong – that shaped the course of Monica’s life, and fueled her drive to work on behalf of homeowners.
Monica previously helped people find new homes as a licensed real estate agent before she founded Renovation Planners, a construction management firm dedicated to helping homeowners avoid remodeling horror stories.
